In filing for this office, I am offering the people of Lincoln County the opportunity to put to work unmatched experience, passion for law enforcement service and my proven leadership abilities, serving as your sheriff.
I believe the badge of this office equally belongs to all the people of Lincoln County. The responsibility and accountability of the office belongs to the sheriff. Only with the vote and badge of the people, will I become your sheriff.
Today’s service challenges in law enforcement, as in most public safety professions, can quickly become overwhelming to one without the proper training and job-related experiences. Continuously overwhelmed in one’s work, causes a negative work attitude, impacting the level of service. Attitudes owned by administration are usually reflected by the workforce. An attitude change can be good, especially for the customers, paying for, expecting and deserving a higher level of service.
My service record reflects the attitude that law enforcement officers should police their assigned patrol district as if they, and their family, live, work and go to school in that district. This is a, “police-it like you live there,” work ethic. Without this approach, the service level will be minimal. I believe a minimal level of law enforcement service to the citizens of Lincoln County is unacceptable in facing tomorrow’s challenges.
“Maximizing the service level, through training, assignments, interagency cooperation and requiring higher professional standards - at the lowest possible cost to the citizens” is my mission.
